I Need Your Honusty!

alright.. so as u all (might??) know, my motor is and has been shot for a while but shes still tickin hehe, but ok, heres the deal.. i do want my car to be a dam quick 4th gen, and i dont know what to do. Should i get a 4th gen Civic si motor and then do it all up? (cam, msd ignition, header - full exhuast, intake, racing chip, cam gear, underdrive pully)... or put in a integra LS motor.. im really hard up for oppinions here... and the si swap is ALOT less $$ than the ls... ppllzz hellp me!!

what sort of power you want
You want power put a motor in thats going to give it to you with out FI then your only geting more power if you add it (FI)

Soch Vtec - koo but power is limited untill you resleve the thing and boost it then you midaswell get a B motor after all that $$$

Ls - motor is good you would have alot of options like turbo or LSVtec

B16a - can never go wrong there and hella options

B18c or c5 - what more can a person ask for

B20(crVtec) - hella power but hella $$$

Well if you're lookin at an ls motor...its the cheapest b-series motor u can get. I would go for it. If not then go with the sohc v-tec and u'll still have decent ride.

i naturally say sohc vtec because it drops right in and is cheap to do. stuck the old a6 into the 4 door. i almost forgot what a screamer that engine is. i have started considering leaving the y8 as it is, and turbo the a6

DropShop:

"D" stands for disposable
meaning you buy turbo or any bolt on's and god forbid one day you blow your engine. you go pick up another d series for $250-500 swap over your parts and go about your biz. you drop big $$$ for a b series swap and you blow that up, i promise...you'll invent new curse words.

no matter what you decided, it'll be a good choice as long as it's in the 4th gen

ami, when you did the SOHC VTEC swap did you use the 5th gen ECU? I have a couple questions. what does the oil sensor on the vtec selenoid hook up to if im using stock 4th gen ECU? or does it hook up at all to that ECU? im having trouble getting my VTEC to actiavte

I would of course say sohc vtec as well. It is true that a boosted sohc will cost almost as much as a b18 swap, but look at the power difference between the two. You will be faster than most of the n/a dohcs out there, and you will be able to say you did it with only half the cams. You could have a REALLY nice turbo setup for a sohc for around 2-3k. Now those dohcs will always have the advantage however. If you put that same turbo on a b18b you will of course be making more power than w/ it on a sohc. But that would entail the cost of the swap and then the cost of the turbo. I guess you just have to ask yourself how much you want to spend and how fast you want to go.
