wheel hop?
how can I get rid of wheel hop?

Prothane motor mounts help too.

 Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order. The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.

prothane motor mounts took away about 85% of my wheelhop, but 2 of the 4 are a PITA to install.

motor mounts would of been my last guess. I learned something new today. thanks. what tires do you recommend? I have some cheap Fuzion ZR1's.

I have also seen solid front motor mounts. I saw it on some website, it was just a solid piece of metal that connected the motor to the crossmember. It was suppose to help eliminate wheel hop.

Motor Mounts FTW... that will take away almost all of the wheel hop... make sure you have had an alignment... and check your suspension (shocks, swaybars, etc..)

well when I bought the car it had a set of goldline lowering springs. which dropped the car 2 full inches. would that be part of the proplem with wheel hop?Im thinknig about putting the stock springs back in because the car it pretty lower stock. I was going to couple the stock springs with a set of some upgraded shocks. I was also thinking about keeping the lowering springs and couple that with upgraded shocks. so as you can tell I dont know what Im going to do yet. any suggestions?

I think actually higher spring rates take away from wheel hop. I would just leave them in, get a set of prothane motor mounts, and see how it works for ya.

yea, thats what I got. Good luck with taking the stocks ones out. What kind of struts did they put in with the lowering springs? If they are still stock then they are f***ed by now and thats part of your problem.

go for it... that's the kit I got, just for a lot less (I paid like $100 from Summit)... but yeah, that's the complete Prothane kit...
They're a bitch to put in... but there's a write up on here somewhere... or you could just check VFAQ.com

control arm bushings ar ethe #1 fix from wha tI understand but motor mounts will help a great deal also
