removing heater hoses

Hi! I have a 1969 Mustang my Grandfather Gave me. I'm cleaning up the engine compartment and was wondering since I live in hot Arizona, any problem with removing the heater hoses? And taking the heater hose connected on top of the manifold and running into the heater hose connection on the water pump? Thank you.
