maf question
I need to replace the MAF sensor on my '00 gtp and was a bit surprised to see it costs $135 from auto-zone. Are their any suggested alternate brands that would be cheaper than OEM?

Re: maf question
actually, thast not even oem, yes its the same as the factory, but auto zone parts are aftermarket. if you call a dealer to get the actual oem part, it will be way more expensive.

Re: maf question
There are always alternatives if you look hard enough. Beware, AZ MAFs are remanufactured and have a high failure rate. Here is one of he best deals around. It is a brand new OEM GM MAF sensor. $119.00.

I have had luck looking on e-bay and forums. Alot of guys swap out for upgrades and such.
$119 for new one is a really good deal. I will say that most AZ parts come with a warranty though. If you can't find a good used one I say go for the $119 one. Peace, Hallboy |

Re: maf question
In case anyone wanted to know, my dad called me up yesterday. He's got a friend at Napa who can get me the sensor for $70 with a lifetime warranty. Picking it up in a few hours.
