Hi Impact 71 Hemi Cuda

Im building the Revell Kit. Pretty much OOB. The colour is panther pink. Im going to use the black Hemi stripe on the rear quarters, I still have to finsih the bmf and clear it. Im not done with the nose piece yet thats why its not included in the pics.I painted the wheels aluminum and did the holes in flat black.Let me know what you think.

I like the colour and nice work with the foil. The vents look good too.

Looks really good, like the Panther Pink, did you have to get it specially mixed? BMF really well done, are you going to do chrome around the wheel arches and add some black to the vents and door handles?

Presumably it will sit a bit lower when all finally put together.

Looking good so far!

Hey dean, i've noticed you like mopars, that's good,
always nice to know i'm not crazy!
LOL!

Love the color, nice and bold, as that's the mopar way!
How did u do the bmf, i can never get it to stick.
When I try to cut away the excess BMF off the edges,
my knife always pulls off the rest, and i use #11 blades.

Re: Hi Impact 71 Hemi Cuda

HEy guys thanks for the replies. I still have to finish the bmf yet. I wont use black on the vents and handles as they are chrome on the 1:1 car.It will sit lower than it is in the pics. I may rework the front spindles to give it more of a rake to the front. The paint looks lighter in the pics than it actually is. I am going to have to invest in a better digicam now that I am more serious about the hobby!

No actually the paint is from testors model master spray cans, ITs not called panther pink.If I remember correctly its called hot magenta.

I havent had much problems withthe bmf. I just make sure the body is clean and hasnt been waxed. I cut the pieces slightly bigger than I need and burnish it with a qtip. Then I take the knife and just let the weight of the knife cut the shape I need and peel the excess off with tweezers.Ya I like the old mopars. I am a chevy guy but nothin like the old mopars. I have a 70 roadrunner and a 69 charger in the too build pile.I basically build only muscle cars. I bought my first exotic a few weeks ago, the revell ferrari 430. Im looking forward to that build

Re: Hi Impact 71 Hemi Cuda

You must be kidding, you got paint that smooth
from testors spray cans?

That's exactly how I do my BMF, and it just pulls
off the rest. Weird.

The Revell F430 was my first exotic too, but since then
i've gotten the Revell Enzo. Even weirder.
