Re: diff between 2g eclipse and evo 8

The boost is not an engine factor, its all about the turbos. 2g's have a t25 which is a tiny turbo, whereas the evo's run their own 16g which will outflow the t25 by far.

Bigger injectors on the evos. Also internally they are also different as the
4g63 evolved. I am thinking bigger fuel pump, exhaust and of course the front mount. There must be much more but I think Kevin can answer you the best since he has lots of knowledge and of course used to drive a GSX and now a EVO.

Also, the stock 2g has 8.5:1 pistons whereas the Evo has 8.8:1. BTW, hold on to a girl with an Evo... that is hot as hell.

Internals, block, and head are different as far as I know. I don't think anything is interchangeable.

well it has that MIVEC Technology which is nice, and that twinscroll turbo, 20psi at 3500 and 16psi at 6500, and maybe this one has DOHC?

They are both DOHC and this thread is almost a month old...
