exhaust manifold cover
Here lately my 1991 MightyMax has been smelling HOT. I've checked all the levels, and everything seems fine (the temp gauge is showing no excess heat and the dummie lights havent come on). However, I did find a wire that runs from the exhaust manifold cover to the fire wall. I'm thinking its a 'ground wire'. Tell me, what is its purpose? Also, since the screws on the manifold cover are rusted, what can I use to get this one out without stripping it. And finally, since I'm thinking I need to replace that wire... I suppose a junk yard is my next guess. Correct?
I LOVE my lil red truck!

Re: exhaust manifold cover
the wire you are talking about is a ground basicly the only purpose is to ground the engine to the body and as far as the screw the best thing i have found is a penatrating oil called pb blaster you can find it at your local parts store maybe this helps
