95 mustang

i have a 95 stang automatic,the car just started running ruff,runs like the car is a 5speed thats in 5th gear when you should be in 3rd.fuel mileage is bad.any help would be greatly appreciated thanks chris

check fuel injectors run a bottle of cleaner through 1/4 tank of gas at an idle, if problem persists check fuel filter and replace it they are cheap and well worth it

You may also want to check spark plugs and or vacuum hoses. You can check the hoses with some water and soap. Rub it on the hoses and if the car bogs down then that is where the leak is. Had same problem with mine just mine is a 5 speed.

i have a 1990 mustang gt 5.0 . i replaced the transmission with a new transmission I still have slippage. it feels like it dosent want to catch . what should i do to find out what is wrong . it is AOD .I just put in a new 3.73 gear and pinion in the rear end in and it ran great for a few days . then it started feeling like it was just raising the rpms up but not catching . please help i am frustrated and going broke trying to make this car perform the way i want it to
