97 CV performance question

What can i do for under 200 bucks to add some pep under the hood? Everything is stock and it runs pretty good, but if it had more power i would like it a lot more. Its a great car. I cant blow a lot of money on it but would like it to be a little stronger.

Re: 97 CV performance question

For under $200. you can detail the car !!! But thats about it,, the best bang for the buck is change the rear gears to either 3:27, or 3:55 gears,,, that if you have 2:73 in the rear now ! Next would be duel exhaust,,, thats worth 10 hp,, over single exhaust.. or a MM air box and maf, with a re-program to your computer from " Angry Duck Tofo racing " Contact Chris for that,,, but that will run about $600. + Theres lots of things you can do,,, but it all takes money ,,, and the bad part is,, most of it is more then $200.oo

You can full your tank with super unleaded gas.

Thumbs down Re: 97 CV performance question

The CV is setup to run on regular gas,, it does more harm then good to run high test in it all the time,, the timing isn't setup for 93 oct,, so if it can't brun it fully,, it will end up clogging EGR passages !! If you want to get more power out of 93 oct gas,,, have your computer reflashed to burn that,,, which will take changing the timing also..

Re: 97 CV performance question

Or you can save yourself all of that and pull the Octane Adjust Plug.
