WIP: 73 Dodge Challenger
When I first saw this kit I was as happy as a retard in a
candy store because I never thought i'd find a 73 ever again(The 70 & 71's are so darn popular.) So of course I bought it right then and there. I have just started, and am ready to paint it Testors bright red. here are the pics, ENJOY! Sorry, the first is out of focus! Look at that ugly bump. Supposedly you put an electric motor under there. |

Re: WIP:73 Dodge Challenger
I'm building one of this too but it was put on hold for nearly 3 years as I have to rebuild the interior because of the problems you mentioned about the bumps.
Since you own the 1:1 73' Dodge, can you post interior pictures of your car? At least I can try and make the interior as close as the real car possible and finish this car.

Re: WIP:73 Dodge Challenger
![]() well, if my research is correct, this kit's body originally have incorrect trunk lid line. upper is after I corrected. lower one is original trank lid shape. sorry for bad explanation. |

Re: WIP:73 Dodge Challenger
Okay, now I get it. Yes, you fixed it correctly. Good job, I don't go into that much detail with my models.

Re: WIP:73 Dodge Challenger
Well, I ended up painting today, but the paint looks more orangey than bright
red, so over the weekend i'll get some plain red(Unfortunately Testors red because that's all my LHS carries in a spray can, besides Model Master, but they're owned by Testors, so it probably will be just as bad.) Can you paint over other paint, like if I were to paint the new red over the old? Here's some pics of the orange (Bright red) paint... And yes, I realize the roof is gray, I didnt paint it yet! |

Re: WIP:73 Dodge Challenger
I just did another coat of the bright red, and it looks more red, but I may still get the plain red. I'll take pics later today.
