Surferfletch - can you advise me

again which radiator from Napa you purchased.

Was it part#MO2749?

And is it a direct fit, i.e transmission & oil cooler connections?

Having a hard time finding a direct fit, and everyone I've talked to - common websites for radiator replacements - are recommending strictly OEM for this particular year as other models have to be fidgeted to fit.

I have to make a decision today, and don't have time to search old radiator threads - thank.s!

Re: Surferfletch - can you advise me

Ryan: Were you able to get a direct fit through radiator.com? The online sales guy seemed to balk at the '97 Rodeo rad saying he'd heard "horror stories" about fitment.

Re: Surferfletch - can you advise me

that is kinda funny. I logged in after that and the online sales person said the same think.

I wonder if that is some sorta automated system ....

both of mine dropped right in with no issues.

If you find something for around 200 I'm sure you will be ok.

Re: Surferfletch - can you advise me

I'm guessing it's automated, but they've gotten pretty good at making it seem live!

Re: Surferfletch - can you advise me

That's the same comment's I got, about the '97 yr being horror.

Surferfletch - have you had any issues with your's? Does it take same amount of coolant - guess what I'm asking is does it seem to have a greater cooling capacity, or is it the same as OEM?

Re: Surferfletch - can you advise me

Prices for all metals have gone up alot in the last year or so. So I'm not surprised the price of the rads have gone up.

China is buying up any kind of metal they can get their hands on, driving up all the prices. Should see what it costs to run new duct work in a house/building now.

Re: Surferfletch - can you advise me

I didn't notice a difference in the amount of coolant needed, but I wasn't paying very close attention. I think it's pretty close to OEM.
