Caved and bought a FMIC

WEll, as some of you know I was one of the few side mounters with an upgraded turbo. But a couple days ago I heard a blast of air, come from the front right of my car, and its been choking at 10 PSI ever since. SO I ran the boost leak test but the air was escaping as fast as I could pressurize it so I knew a BIG leak had been sprung. WellI checked my IC piping and couldn't find any holes (mind you with the braiding its almost impossible). So I said fuck it I don't care where the hole is anymore I'm going with a FMIC. Now, I know theres some debate as to which way to go I know alot of people have had good thiings to say with like ss autochrome, xs power, but I didn't want to risk it. In my experiences if anything can go wrong it will. So I went with a more reputable choice. On the other hand I didn't want to pay 1000+ for the IC kit. So i had a look around and after some research I went with>

what you guys think? any experiences with them?

Re: Caved and bought a FMIC

I think it looks nice. How do order from them? Do you have to call them and do it over the phone? The pictures they use are on e bay all the time. I'm hoping people take their pictures from them and these are their true pictures of the kits. The 1g kit is under 700 which is a decent price for a full short route kit.

ps/ When you get it in the mail, take pics!

Haven't dealt with them, but looks like a clean setup. I just upgraded to a Supra side-mount kit because I couldn't shell out the extra cash for a $800 front-mount kit. Good find.

Re: Caved and bought a FMIC

yea for sure Ill take pics Im getting them UPS express so probably by like wednesday. Yea I called in they got a number on that site somewhere that I just called. Its pretty good they gave me choice of BOV flange and gm maft blow though, and what turbo. Pretty nice guy on the phone too said he'd ship it as 100$ bucks so my border tax will be like 15 bucks instead of like 100. And it comes with install instructions which can only help. Im pretty pumped now!

Nice kit, still more than I would have spent though. You can get a decent front mount off of ebay and order the piping separate for less than that, looks good though.

Re: Caved and bought a FMIC

no no thats got nothing to do with the shipping cost. Shipping cost is seperate. You wouldn't pay anything for border taxes. It is a charge for importing goods, I have to pay taxes on their value (border taxes). But since hes telling UPS that the value of my goods is only 100 (when its really worth 700) means i only pay 1/7th the border taxes. Get it?
