Question Oil cooler lines 93 S10 Blazer...

Hello,

93 S10 Blazer 4.3L 4x4 Auto

Anyone ever replace the oil cooler lines going from the remote oil filter to the radiator? I got a new set(Dorman) from the local auto parts store and it was said to fit my year. They were slightly different shaped, but they said that's what it called for. However, the air cleaner won't go down in because the lines are in the way. Every store I checked said these lines are the right lines for a 93 Vin W except one. That one said they didn't know anyone that makes lines for the vin W, except dealer and that some used the lines I got(they said for a vin C or something like that) and made the air filter fit, but I don't see how I can do that. So, I wondered if anyone has run into this problem before?

Thanks

No such thing as a vin C, only VIN W and X for the 6 cylinders... That said... Any chance of flexing the hose back a littl bit to get the box to slide in?

Vin ?, wasn't sure. As for flexing....I might try to flex it a little, but boy it's tight!

Another option may be that your rad isn't seated properly. See if you can shift it towards the passenger side (do this with the top fan shroud off). You may be able to make enough room in there by doing this...
