Unhappy Clicking and grinding on the front end

Please help. I have a 95 neon and it makes a clicking noise all the time and grinding sometimes. It only makes this noise while going under 40-45 miles an hour and only when I'm going forward. It does this while I'm excellerating and coasting. There is also a clicking when i brake. I took it in and they said that the cv joints were fine but they did replace the tirods because they were worn, but after this the noise only got worse .

Re: Clicking and grinding on the front end

When your driving at a slow speed turn the wheel all the way one way and move forward , then all the way the other and move forward , if the noise goes away in one of those situations it very likely you have a CV joint going. Unless there is visable damage some shops have a very hard time diagnosing CV troubles but this is a decent way to do a self diagnosis that * usually * will help you know what is going on. If this doesnt show anything we can try something different after you have tried this.
