Plugs in a 97 GrandPrix GT

Anyone have some tips for getting at the rear plugs on a 3.8 liter? I got the fronts, however the rear plugs are nearly impossible to get at. How difficult is it to rotate the engine forward to have access? Any help or procedures would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

Re: Plugs in a 97 GrandPrix GT

I have a 99 GT, and used a pair of long handled 45 degree bent needle nose pliers to help get the wires off, and a long wobble extension and flex head ratchet will give you the flexibility you need to get the plugs in and out. The heat shields make it very hard to get anything on the wires to get them unstuck from the plugs. The #6 plug is the most difficult, as the oxygen sensor is in the way. There is no need to rotate the engine forward.
