COMPLETED: 1953 Chevrolet C1 Corvette Roadster
I've had it completed for awhile but took some photos today. I'm waiting for some fine polishing abrasives to really complete it but here is it with a quick shine for now.
All in all: This is a pretty average Revell kit. Bad Points: Headlights require significant work to fit reasonably well. There are no marking guides to glue the bumperettes on. The headlight lenses and windscreen are difficult to glue on cleanly. Horn-ring fits badly. No radiator hoses supplied with the kit. Taillights do not line up well. Poor quality decals, they don't stick. Wheels were wonky. Good Points: Accurate interior. Accurate tire/wheels. Minimal flash/mold lines. Its a C1 Corvette Wouldn't recommend it unless you love Corvettes, not really worth modifying it either. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lots of photos but they are a small size and I'm still getting used to the new camera so the next model will look alot better. Thanks for taking the time to look, hope you like it... but don't get this kit unless you really.. really like C1s. |

Re: COMPLETED: 1953 Chevrolet C1 Corvette Roadster
Decent build, the interior looks really great. I too went through all the BS with this kit. It's great as one of those mindless builds you just grab and throw together. I didn't even paint mine, I just sanded and polished the white plastic and did the Carrera Panamericana livery!
