as a long time mark martin fan, im so saddened right now. i almost cried when he lost....


your thoughts on the 500 are welcome. overall it was an excellent race i thought. just to bad it didnt end right. it would have been the perfect way for mark to end his career.

Yes it would've been the perfect way to end his career. But he has a whole season to win some races so I'm sure he's not too sad about it. He seems to love the competition and respect from other drivers. But damn... that was so close!

Ya know, I'm inbetween on the finish. It would have been nice for him to finally get the win and I have long pulled for him ot do so.

But on the restart when I saw the 29's nose looming around, even tho 7 cars back, it hit me that the race was 6 years to the date of Sr.'s death, Harvick has been trying so hard to get out from under that shadow, switching up the sponsers and all, but I knew that when that car shot off turn 4 of all places, it didn't look promising for Martin.

i actually am surprised about how much people are complaining about the finish. sure i gripped some but not much really. i am just heartbroken at the result and that harvick edged him out. i thought it was pretty fair.

The only complaints I've heard is "why wasn't the cation out?".

Why in the world would anyone throw a caution on the last lap when the wreck is behind the leaders?

I agree, I would have loved to see mark win this one but what are you gonna do, and I think It's right that they did'nt throw the caution because the wreck was behind the leaders.

Mark Martin lost his drafting partner Kyle Busch and you can see that on the video.I did get a "chewing out" from someone that is a Jeff Gordon fan and I am a diehard Kevin Harvick fan.The race was over after the big one happened.
