Quick defenition of rice.

This can sum up what a ricer is quite simply.

It is too bad that the thread with the ricer argument guide had to be closed. It was meant to be a joke and some people took it too far. Just because we call something rice does not mean we are talking about all Japanese cars. Some people take things too personally; they must have something eating at them.

This thread is not to flame, simply post what you think the definition of a ricer is. I guess it is more of an opinion than a definition.

I found it on this guy’s web site. It wouldn't be hard to make in Photoshop anyhow. It would probably only take about a minute or so.

I call all moded to hell cars rice, or if i just plain cant classify it as rice I call it ugly as hell. I've seen alot of cool rice, Spec2Girls car -could- be considered rice for the few mods on it, but its damn fine rice. Saying rice isnt an unsult aside from the most card core muscleheads and 14 year olds who know nothing.

I think the definition of rice is modifications made to a car, to make it look fast(spoilers, type r badge, vtec badge, cutting springs), which do not make it faster. In fact, many modifications such as giant wings create large amounts of drag, and sap away top end performance. Cutting springs will have a bad effect on your handling, by lowering your spring rates, changing your suspension geometry, and can destroy the balance of your car.

Going to low profile tire, lowering the car with high rate springs, and getting a body kit designed to produce downforce, not to look good, will make for a better handling car.

Cutting springs, going to a 50 lb deck lid wing, and going to 17" pep boys tires will not do much for your car, except slow it down and make it less driveable.

Well, neons have a bigger and more powerful base engine than the most powerful civic engine (save the si). I don't know how lucrative the aftermarket market (does that make sense?) for the neon is though.

The Rice is everywhere, it's all around us, here even on this board.
You can see it out your window, or on your television.
It is the lie that has been pulled over your eyes, rice boy, to blind
you from the truth of real power.

You guys seem to forget that streetracer's parents don't let him see movies above a PG rating.
