95 pathfinder questions
I just bought a 95 pathfinder 4x4. It has some issues that I am slowly working out. I suspect a right manifold leak, and I read this is pretty common. How difficult would that be to replace? I also have noise coming from my timing belt area in the front. I'm sure I can replace that, but is there anything I should be aware of before starting that project. The interior light will not come on when the door opens and I have to manually flip the switch on the roof. Thanks for any advice you can give. Feb. 3 2007, still has the manifold leak, timing belt noise, interior light switch problem, Now with a few new problems, It has to have a cv boot replacement, how difficult, and will a split boot kit work?, It gets horrible fuel mileage, and is lacking in power. It hesitates, and downshifts on the smallest of inclines. I just did a tune up, plugs, cap, rotor, fuel and air filter. It has a front end rattle that is driving me crazy, maybe shocks? Thanks for any help.

Re: 95 pathfinder questions
The manifold problem was very common and lead to free replacements for a lot of us (I've owned my '95 since the day I dove it off the enw car lot.
The intense heat of these engines simply torqued the manifolds and broke the bolts from what I understand. |

Re: 95 pathfinder questions
The problem was incompatible exhaust manifold studs. Using 300ZX studs instead is the fix. They're not that bad if you have the time and small hands, but they're definitely a PITA when all the exhaust bolts are rusted to hell.
