96 gmc suburban headlights out!! Help!

My 1996 GMC suburban 2wd 5.7L 132,000 mi Started having headlight problems about 3 weeks ago.

I came out to go to work and my headlights would not work, No lowbeams or highbeams. My running lights work fine but no headlights. So I waited till it was light enough to drive and went to work. At about 4 pm I left work and the headlights worked fine!! Next morning same thing, NO headlights. This time they did not work when I went home. One other time a day or so later they worked but after that nothing and they have not worked since. I changed the dash switch but still nothing and I checked the molex connector on the back of the switch and it is perfect. There is power at the back of the switch but no power at the bulbs(so it's not a ground problem). Also I don't think it has anything to do with it, but the daytime running lights quit working about 2 years ago.

Thanks

Tom

Did you find a solution? My 2001 Suburban has been having the same issue. All lights work fine except the low beams. They work intermittently. I replaced the switch but that didn't solve it.
