Front Crank seal on a 3.5
This car died while driving and come to find out it shreaded the timing belt. I also found plenty of oil and antifreeze behind the cover so I also decided to change the water pump and cam seals. As I was taking off the peices of the timing belt, it wrapped around the lower pulley and damaged the crank seal. Now I have done many cam seals and timing belts on these motors but I have never run into this problem with the crank seal. The problem is that when I pulled the lower crank pully off, the drive pulley for the timing belt, it had a stationary pin for the gear and this pin does not come out. How do I get the seal over this pin with out ripping the seal. I already tried an other seal by National seals and its almost like the seal diameter is to small inside and the lip wont flex enough over this pin. Ideas please, Thanks
