Hi, I hope someone can help. I have looked through the posts and found lots of problems with the blower resistor. My problem is different. I have lots of air coming in on all speeds. My problem is it's all stuck in the defrost position. The floor and dash board vents are dead. I have laid under the dash on the drivers side and watched the actuator move when I change the settings from defrost to floor or dash. It makes a clicking sound but doesn't change anything. Vacuum problem? actuator bad?
any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help, Scott |

Re: 2002 Durango Vent problems Only have defrost
Check the vacuum line or lines beneath the dash to the right of the glove box (if your 2002 is like my 1999).
Not sure what line does exactly what but that's where the vacuum routing is done on mine. |

Re: 2002 Durango Vent problems Only have defrost
I would say it is the actuator, can you give it a push with your hand. Some actuators have plastic teeth on a sprocket and wear down and cant grab.Dont know if it is the case with durango but sounds like actuator is not moving flapper doors.
