Ignition making my hair gray

I have a 97 blazer ls 4wd, my ignition works sometimes, and sometimes it will not. I can try to start it many times and it will start fine, then I can try the next time and get no console light or warning lights to come on my dash and try to start and the engine just keeps turning over. It has a brand new battery, and I have checked positive and negative cables and getting good contact. could it be the ignition switch? or possibly a faulty relay? Any help would be appreciated, before i pull out my gray hair
