Arrow 2001 Venture Wiper and a/c problems

I wonder if this is just my luck or has anyone else had these problems....
My wipers are stuck in the upright position. I have been told that the problem is the transmission of the wipers and the part alone is $201. They never actually looked because they would have to charge me $75 for doing that but that was their educated guess. Now the driver's side blade will not stay attached because every time I turn them on it goes off the side of the van and cannot handle that force so it seperates and flies off the vehicle. Also the blower seems to be clogged or something. On 1-3 setting it works but is very faint. Have to turn it up to feel anything in this Oklahoma heat. Also seems like a two of the vents are blocked even though they are open. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum.

For the wiper issue, do a search of this forum and the Pontiac Montana & Trans Sport forums. You will see numerous post about wiper issues similar to yours.

As for the low flow, did you check/replace the cabin air filters recently? Click the link for where to find them. You might what to test your air flow with them out and see if it helps, but don't leave then out as you might get a bunch of leaves & such stuck in the blower motor or the duct work.

For the blocked vents, are you sure they are turn on? Did you check the "wheels" next to them to make sure they work?

Hope this helps.

Take Care,

My wipers do the same thing and it is the wiper transmission. There is a little cam spring that wears out and I can't get mine to work unless I manually move the cam. My Chevy dealer quoted me $80 for the part.
