And I think this is a pretty good summary.... There are so many odds and ends this is just the bulk of it (the more expensive stuff)
The total amount I spent on this project is ungoddly at over 12000 (considering without bonuses I gross just over 25000 a year) I poured my heart sole and all the money I could come up with (even a couple of loans (2600 in loans for the car. my 2 weeks vacation pay (took the cash with no vacation (going on 5 years no vacation am I a work aholic????)))

Well any way once I finally get it done Ill have to take some picks and you can all say what shit it looks like with the black overspray and super gutted interior then you can siut in awwe at what the engine bay looks like.....

So till next time

Re: 280zx performance parts list

See thats what I get for only looking at a list of purchases and then adding what I think of... The alternator is a 1984 digi dash alternator (higher amps).
Forgot all about that so just pretend that is in the list. Along with the power supply wiring from a 1983 turbo 280zx(fuse box upgrade from the glass tube type).
Thanks for noticing..... Anything else I forot lol..... Mirrors from 83 turbo (still white lol) rear bumber from an 83 (2 peice instead of 1...)
Cut the hood vents to allow for the air to flow in better (origannaly pass. vents had a 2x4 hol;e cut out I enlaged to be similar to drivers side (also enlarged drivers side)

Also If I can get a good price Im gonna get a cowl hood scoop, only instead allowing air in, its gonna allow the heat from radiator out (tin shrouds to create ducts...)

Also this winter I plan to put on a wide body hood trunck and doors (all fiberglass) and making the bottom flat( fiberglass sheets with several louvers to allow air to cowl out....

Well gotta go
so till we meet again...

Re: 280zx performance parts list

That's quite the list of stuff you've got their wouldn't it have been easier to drop in an SBC and call it good? A mildly modified 350 will make more power and torque than even a heavily L-series, oh well I'm a little biased but good luck on your project I'd like to see some pics.

Re: 280zx performance parts list

Digi cameras are cheap. $100 can get you a decent digicam.

You would think... $12,000 spent on a car, you'd probably want to take some pictures of the process... or finished product...
