Tranny-won't take off in drive/overdrive

K so i jsut replaced my rear end and someone said it could be computer probelm, my truck won't take off from drive or overdrive, but if i start on 2nd and shift up everyhting seems fine, btu as soon as i stop i ahve to shift back down to 2nd then shift back up, any help or advce would be greatly appreciated.

Year? Make?, Model?, Engine size?, Transmission?, 2 or 4wd?, Mileage? When did this start? Is this why you changed your rear end? If not why the change? Have you added anything or done major hard driving on this truck?

The truck is a 94 chev 1500 5.7 litre, and i replaced the rear end cause it was screwed, and now this problem has showen up, and no i did no hard driving on it, i've owned it for about a month, it's a 2wd, thanks
