Hey man,
I have a 99 dx hatch. I FEEL UR PAIN! Everyone makes headers for all models EXCEPT the dx. But I found that Landspeed Racing and possibly HP Racing Motorsports makes a header for the dx. Check out my post in the Technical section titled "need more power!" I just posted it like an hour ago. Hope it helps. Question for you: HP Racing makes a header with produces higher gains than the Landspeed Racing header but the website lists the header application for only 96-98. Would it work on a 99 or 2000 though? |

i wanted a damned hatch but parents got this for me, bought it for 14k with 11064miles on it, pretty damn overpriced huh??? everyone yells, i see ebaymotors has 98-99 si's for 10....anyways about the headers, 96-00 = 6th gen.... hopefully the engines are the same (almost the same) but this darkside speed shop by my house says i gotta buy ex headers and aftermarket cat, and take to muffler shop...... i was hopiing someone conquered this challenge...only one way to find out on our own huh?? get the tool set out.. hehe

unless you slapped a V6 in your civic, all you'll need is a HEADER...not plural...just one...

Im not sure if your looking for a bolt on or a way to make the ex fit but I just got the 2nd option done to my DX.
bought the header and cat for an EX, and took it down to the local muffler shop to get custom piping. I would've bought a full cat for an EX but 120 seemed alot more pleasing than 560. Everything bolts right in, except the 2nd O2 sensor located on the stock DX cat, that has to be extened. Just grab a WORKING O2 sensor off of an EX at the junkyard and plug it right in.
