I think you should go with a sealed box for the tighter more accurate bass response.

are there any positive attributes to having a vented? Cause I will go sealed cause the box can be smaller and I am not even sure if the vented would fit in my trunk.

Here are the specs provided by kicker

Sealed
Enclosure Vol: 1.25 CF
Woofer Cutout: 11"
Front / Rear Panel: 14-1/2X14-1/2"
Top / Bottom Panel: 14-1/2X13"
Side Panels: 13X13

Vented
Enclosure Vol: 1.75 CF
Woofer Cutout: 11"
Front / Rear Panel: 14"X20"
Top / Bottom Panel: 20"X13"
Side Panels: 13"X12-1/2"
Port: 4"dx9-1/4"L

These specs are copied right from the book, I dont really know how to read em, but my dad does

Vented gives you more "boomy" bass, like it's the bass you can hear from like a mile away. The bass tends to be sloppier, but it's louder. If you're going for sound quality, then you'll probably want a sealed box.

it all depends on what you are lookign for but generally vented boxes are not for your average consumer... only advantage to a vented box is it will be louder than a sealed box at the same wattage. When people say it is sloppier it is not that much sloppier it just wont be as crisp so it wont like boom like seconds off of when it was supposed to it will just rumble on past what a sealed box would
