Rear Windows only work from driver door
The rear windows on my wife's 2000 LeSabre can only be controlled using the driver door master control. The rear windows can be locked on the driver door panel, but the button is in the "off" position. I checked the DIC, and they are not turned off there either. It is not a big issue, more of a nusance. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Re: Rear Windows only work from driver door
This is the first that I've heard of a piece of equipment that will scan power window circuits. What exactly is a Tech 2 scanner?
(Multi-meter?, Actron code scanner?). |

A cheaper alternative is using software from http://www.autoenginuity.com/ with a laptop. It has the same capability as the Tech 2 with bi-directional support if the manufacturer enhanced software is purchased. Since I like to work on my own cars and favor GM vehicles, I purchased a Tech 2 couple of years ago. Last edited by stuzman; 07-29-2006 at 09:15 PM. |

Re: Rear Windows only work from driver door
Thanks for the replys. I checked the price of a Tech 2 scanner and they are over three grand, so that is not an option. I have an OBDII scanner, however nothing shows and the Check Engine light is not on. I don't think the OBD was designed to check for window problems anyway.(I could be wrong) Thanks again. As I mentioned it is not a big problem, maybe I will have the dealer look at it, and if not too expensive, have it repaired. Thanks.
