'73 Datsun Pickup For Sale

1973 Datsun 620 Pickup L20b, twin SUs, 5-speed -- 1973 Datsun 620 Pickup Short Bed
  • L20b 2.0L Datsun OHC 4-Cylinder Engine
  • 1982 Datsun 280ZX 5-Speed, Shifter, Clutch, Pressure Plate, and Flywheel
  • Twin 240Z SU carburetors
  • Shorty 510 Header
  • Custom 2.25" exhaust with 50 series flowmaster
  • Custom Crower Camshaft
  • Hybrid 1978 Datsun Pickup / 1978 280ZX Electronic Ignition
  • Less than 10,000 miles on engine rebuild
  • The following parts have been purchased and installed since 2002:
  • Newer Bench Seat
  • Upgraded blank gauge pod with Tachometer
  • NEW Front and rear Brake Shoes and Wheel Cylinders
  • NEW Master Cylinder
  • NEW Carrier Bearing
  • NEW Radiator
  • NEW Starter
  • NEW Alternator
  • NEW Distributor
  • NEW Rotor
  • NEW Cap
  • NEW Spark Plugs
  • NEW Spark Plug Wires
  • NEW Battery
  • NEW Z-Racing Wheels (14x6.5 front, 15x7 rear)
  • NEW Goodyear Eagle TR 225/70R15 rear tires (fronts are 205/75R14)
  • NEW Shocks all around
  • NEW Upper Control Arm bushings
  • Upgraded Center Console
  • Snugtop Tonneau Cover
It starts right up and runs nice. Pulls all the way over 6,000 rpm. The ZX 5-Speed with the 4.88 rear end ratio is a very nice combo... brings freeway RPMs down 1,000 rpm from stock. The Z-car clutch, pressure plate, etc, is VERY nice. It grabs VERY well and shifts smoothly.
This truck has been my baby and in my family for years and years. The best I can tell, my grandfather was only the 2nd or 3rd owner. I believe the mileage to be in the 100s not the 200s.
This truck has no smog equipment whatsoever. In California, where I lived when I built it up, that was not a problem, but in Nevada, where I live now, it's a big problem. I hate to sell it, but reality has set it's ugly presence on me and I must let it go.
Asking $2,000 obo. Call or email with any questions. It is up on ebay, but I will cancel the listing if a Datsun enthusiast with cash wants it.

why don't you get a PO box in CA and keep the truck? (registered in CA)

Re: '73 Datsun Pickup For Sale

mainly because the truck isn't practical for me to keep anymore, and I want a motorcycle now

the only way for the wife to OK the bike was to sell one of my toys
