Unhappy 1995 Buick Lesabre blower

My 1995 Buick Lesabre with climate control has had the blower stop working. A few days before it totally went it would change speeds by itself then it totally stopped. The AC still sounds like it is kicking in but won't blow. We tested the blower motor and it is fine . There is a large resister(?) attatched to the blower but it is expensive and non returnable is that the blower control module and does any one know how to make sure that is what's wrong? Help. I can't find diagrams anywhere.

Re: 1995 Buick Lesabre blower

With the ignition key on and fan speed setting on high, you should have 12V to the red wire @ the blower module. If you have 12V on the red wire, you would also have 12V on the purple wire (on high setting) going to the blower, if the module is working. If not, you have a bad module and need to either get a new one or go to the salvage yard and get a used one. New ones run about 100 bucks from Advanced Auto Parts.
