transmisson problem

i have a 1990 civic dx witch i just put a 1.6 zc into to replace the oil burner 1.5 it had. had the car together for a day ran great very happy with the result of the swap but as i was pulling out of the car wash or care wash as it was i heard a pop and she no longer moved. at first i thought it was the clutch cable witch has broke before on me and sounded simalr but no the cables fine. the car has no movment in any gear and if i step on the gas the spedo goes up as the car sits. the only thing that happens is when i put it in reverse i get a slight whiring noise.never had a problem with the tranny before and the clutch is new and flywheel was reworked. it is the stock dx tranny but it was pefect up till about 1 o'clock today. sound like anything simple or am i boned on this one dont have the money to get new tranny so most likely have to stick with this one for a while.as usual any help would be freakin sweet

Re: transmisson problem

Check your axles, you could have snapped one of them. Your transmission is obviously turning, so the clutch is good, and everything up until the speedo drive is turning, check to see if your axles turn.
