98 Mirage DE Fuel Filter

Does anyone know where the fuel filter is located?

And is it difficult to replace?

standing in front of the car it to the right mounted near the back, the easiest way to find it is to follow from your injectors fuel rail to the right down the fuel line, its black and has a banjo style bolt on the top. pretty simple to change, but do it while the motor is cold/fuel system is not under pressure. and put plenty of rags down to catch gas cuz it will leak out.

Re: 98 Mirage DE Fuel Filter

the fuel filter is located under the rear seat, and it is not too hard to replace if you know what you are doing.

The filter for the '00 is also located as noted by evoryda. I believe the '98 is pretty much the same as the '00. You might also wish to spray some penetrating oil such as PB Blaster or Kroil on the fittings once a day for a couple of days before you try to remove the filter. Those fittings can be pretty bitchy to remove sometimes and the last thing you want to do is bugger up the fittings.
