Weird Issue: Water Leaking On My Foot
It all started on one afternoon last week when I was driving 300 miles back home from college. The AC was running. It was raining hard and when I exited the interstate for gas, I felt warm water sprinkling on my right foot(which as on the gas pedial and yes I was wearning slippers) when I turned the steering wheel. Then during that exit as I turned left and right several times, more water sprinkled, it was sometimes warm and sometimes cold.
Throughout the rest of the journey, it would sprinkle water only when the turns were big (i.e. small turns and changing lanes did not sprinkle any siginifcant amount of water). By the time I got home, I had recieved a total of about half a glass of water on my feet. Since then, the car has sprinkled water several times. Even on the front passenger side. My guess is that it is coming from the leg ac vent. Where else could water accumulate? |

Re: Weird Issue: Water Leaking On My Foot
You're A/C core drain might be blocked and the water that would normally sweat out of the core box is overflowing into the vent sytem and sloshing out when you turn....in high humidity (like when raining) it produces a lot of water, and can overwhelm a partially blocked drain...look at the firewall under the hood and find where the A/C lines go into the interior of the car...than look in that area but lower and locate the core drain, should just be a small (maybe 1" or so) rubber elbow hose that may have a "pinched" end...squeexe it to open it up, and if the water doesn't pour out, try running something up into it (just don't get too crazy, don't wanna punch holes in the evap core)...usually water will suddenly burst out and drain, you may get a half gallon or more...it's pretty rewarding
Good luck...
