MINI in the Snow?

Hi, I'm serioiusly considering buying a MINI in the near future. However, I've heard that it has some problems in the snow. Since I live in Pittsburgh it's important that I have a car that is reasonable in the snowy weather. How are they in the snow? Thanks.
