I have a Brain Buster Question (Car Related)
I just got my new W-Body Store Stage III Intercooler installed on my 04 about 2-3 weeks ago. The gentleman that did the installation did a hell of a job. I also installed a Cobra degasser for air in the lines along with a Johnson Pump. He's very well known in our Grand Prix club and is very reliable. I still have the 3.4 pulley on the car becuase I do not have a pulley remover to install the MPS. She still pulls real hard @ 20* timing. I am having one weird issue. Its right at the start up. When I turn the car on it fires up great but once it fores up it want to bog / hesitate for about a second or two at the most. It only happens when the car is warm. Some of you guys may notice than when our cars are cold the RPMs tend to jump in the higher revs at idle when first started up. When that happens the car does not do the hesitation / bog. It only happens when the car is warm - hot. Sometimes the car will die and it will take a few starts. Sometimes I even give it a little gas and it helps for some reason. I checked my IFR and all is good. My LTFTs are good and there are no engine codes. What can be causing this?

Re: I have a Brain Buster Question (Car Related)
Not real sure but it could be that the intercooler is absorbing heat from the engine and the air going into the cylinders on start up when hot is too warm for good combustion. You may want to try installing a switch to the intercooler pump to turn the pump on for a few seconds prior to start-up to see if it eliminates the problem. Just a Guess to the Brain Buster question!
