Will remove the aftercat o2 sensor from an obdII engine do anything besides set off a CEL?

some of the more finer tuned fuel injection systems use the downstream o2 sensor for determining the amount of fuel delivered. pcm monitors the downstream input and sees the catalyst degrading over time, so it therefore reduces the amount of fuel delivered
