How would you paint this?

I'm kind of confused on how to do this. How would you paint these parts?
A)
-Prime everything
-Paint black areas first
-Paint red areas

B)
-Prime everything
-Paint red areas first
-Paint black areas

C)
-Paint black areas first
-Prime areas to be red
-Paint red areas

I say "B." It's easier to paint black over red than vice-versa.

Not "C"; try to avoid re-priming between adjacent color coats, because it'll tend to peek through at the edges.

I'd agree with Fubaz except, It depends how good you can mask off..It might be easier to paint everything red first then mask off and paint black..

If the masking is easy then just paint red first.wait till dry.Then mask and do black.

Then again maybe someone might have done this section already and have an even better Idea...Who knows.

just make sure you're red paint is completly dry and polished out before youi start the black.. and use enamels for the black. If you have some leaks or overspray, you can verry easily correct these things with whitespirit and you wont harm the red (if you've done the red with a laquer based paint)

I used method A for my Enzo. Just make sure that everything (black) is covered perfectly. But I guess you just have to try what works best for you.

B should be the best option.

If you paint red over black it doesn't matter that it looks like that red has covered black completely, you could get some red different from the rest of the parts.

Thanks everyone, looks like I will have to go B and mask off the red with Tamiya tape and paper.
So I will spray a TS-8 then TS-29. Might have to use acrylic black if lacquer is out.

I used method B when I made my enzo. Not that hard to mask off. Using acrylic black would save you a lot of trouble though. Easier to fix if you mess up.

I would totally go with B, use laquer red and acrylic black, and not worry much about the red overspraying the first go 'round - you'd rather edges and joints be red than bare plastic, I would assume.

I'd go with option B. I did something along the same with some bike cowlings. If you use TS for the red, and then use X18 Acrylic from an airbrush for the black, even if you get some overspray, its REALLY easy to clean up. A small bit of water on a toothpick removes some acrylic overspray, and compund does wonders..

Option B is the best way as the most of the replies here states.
One rule of thumb to follow for any painter is paint light colors first than dark color. As the dark color will cover the lighter color easily, but a lighter color over a dark color will show bleed thru and may require numerous coats to block the bleed thru.
