Gabriel Pro Guard shocks?

Good or bad?
Supposedly "comfort designed".
Im looking for nice ride quality out of my truck. A search revealed that some people like them, others dont. So, lets hear more opinions. ....

The new monroe sensa tracks I put on my truck work great...... it killed alot of the interior noise which is what your probably also looking for

Thats just the thing.......
I have the gabriel pro guards, they replaced the factory shocks. I just went to autozone, told them I wanted a smooth ride, and this is what they gave me.

If a better shock would make a very noticeable difference, I would go to the trouble of having the gabriels taken off, return them, and put the better shock on.

Re: Gabriel Pro Guard shocks?

Did you like the ride before you replaced the shocks/tires? Shocks will stiffen up the ride, especially if there gas charged heavy duty shocks, the same would go for tires. Personally the softest riding tire I have seen has been the Michelen. the michelen tire was OE install for these trucks back then too, it was the XW4 tire, or something like that.

Not really.........I changed the shocks, hoping to smooth it out.
