'98 Windstar IMRC P1537 P1538 P1513

I got the codes 1537, 1538 and 1513. If I plug the front IMRC, the rear one moves a little bit, but if I plug the rear one I can't get the front one to move. I can't get either on of them to move with a MityVac, though I can move them by hand, so the linkage isn't binding up. Shouldn't I be able to move them with the MityVac? Also, I don't know if this is related, but the rear air blows only hot. Another vacuum problem? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Brad

Well - my 2000 doesn't have vacuum IMRC, but I'll take a guess anyway.

Does the Mityvac meter indicate it's holding a vacuum when you manually test the IMRC? If not, the solenoid is leaking and needs to be replaced.

Well, I messed with the solenoids, moved them by hand again, started the van and they both opened up. Now the CEL is out, so I guess it was some kind of vacuum leak somewhere, maybe when I changed the rear plugs I knocked something loose. Now I just have to fix the rear air. Hey, Phil-l, thanks for the reply. This forum is really useful.
Thanks,
Brad

Brad -

I'm pleased it's working for you. Watch it closely; vacuum leaks can come back, and can be annoying to track down.
