rain causing sluggish behavior
so ive noticed everytime it rains and water gets under my car....... immediately upon driving it my car is very sluggish.......... i can put the accelerator to the floor and just wont pick up rpms....... after driving it for a few minutes and the car warms up this problem stops........ i was wondering if this has to do with maybe my spark plugs, wires, fuel line......... just looking for a little advice

Re: rain causing sluggish behavior

Re: rain causing sluggish behavior
Yep yep - check distribuor cap and your plug wires. And if you're making a day of it, might as well check those plugs too. Couldn't hurt. I had plug wires once that were so old and porous, even on humid days, the engine would stumble and putter on that old Subaru of mine until it warmed up. Replacing the plug wires alone was enough to cure the problem. Made a pretty lightning show in the dark it did.
