The $3.74 Spoon Civic!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This car started life as a basic JDM Civic Type-R but for that extra flair the Spoon catalogue was raided. SW388 wheels mounted on Toyo Proxes tires were added for looks and to reduce unsprung weight. Spoon 4 piston calipers and drilled rotors were installed up front. All mounted on Apexi N1 coilovers for better handling. Next for power a Spoon cat-back high performance exhuast was added for style, power, and that sweet VTEC sound. In front of the exhuast is a Spoon race header, heat discolored from those hard track days at Tsukuba. TODA supplied an individual throttle body setup for some big HP and more noise. The chassis also wears a Spoon front upper strut bar. The car was debadged and now only wears spoon graphics. Outside a front end from a VTi with fog lamps was added because all the light you can get is needed for late night downhill racing. Other mods include a Spoon radiator hose, carbon fiber plug cover, and an Optima yellow top battery (soon to be exchanged for a Spoon light battery). The hood is not shown but there are two, a scooped body color unit and an OEM style Carbon unit. Enjoy! Somebody ele instead of just listing specs wrote a bit of a story and I decided to try, mixing it up. |

Re: The $3.74 Spoon Civic!
and k20 chris the motor came in the kit but i added the ITBs, the CF spark plug wire etc.
I left the civic at my house because I got home late from work and had to go to my dads and didn't have time to grab it so now updates till monday, but i did add the Spoon Battery and I sanded the Front end because the paint got f-ed and i tried to fix it and made it worse. Thanks for the comments |

Re: The $3.74 Spoon Civic!
I can't figure out how to turn off the flash on the camera. So up close pics just come out white. Not much has happened to the motor, the battery is now Spoon and the valve cover was re-painted with nail-polish ferrari red to make it more vivid.
