2006 MUSTANG GT with a V6????

My friend Just got a 2006 Mustang "GT" I put GT in quotation marks because its got a supercharged V6 with supposedly 250 HP. Its got dual exhaust, or atleast dual tips, it has the GT emblems on the sides but not on the rear, and it's got the large fog lights.

Anybody know what the deal is with this? I've never heard of such a set up and frankly I think it's sacriligious to put a v6 in a GT. Did he get ripped off by the dealer? He doesnt know much about cars and I tried asking him about it and he doesnt really seem to notice or care about the difference.

Ford just made a 250 hp V6 http://www.autoblog.com/2005/11/09/b...and-six-speed/ I havent heard about them putting it in GT's though.

it is probably a v6 mustang with some GT emblems stuck on it. as far as the supercharger goes; a superchargered 4.0 v6 should definatly make more than 250hp. that is, if it actually is supercharged.

It's a V-6 Pony Package. Basically it's a V-6 Mustang with all the bells and whistles of a GT, and the price tag, but not the motor

only reason i didnt say that is because arent the pony package fog lights smaller? he said he had large fog lights... but your probably right.

Yeah, but since when does the Pony Package have GT decals on the side as well as the large GT fog lights and dual exhaust?

Have you seen the blower? I'd be interested in seeing pics of the engine compartment and exterior. Does it have bullets? Does the speedo go to 150 or 120?

i would still be surprised if it made only 250hp with a blower on it.

Yeah, a supercharger would add more then 40 hp, even with low stock PSI, you can get that with bolt on's. It would make around 300.

I saw the engine quickly today...no blower. My friend is clueless as to what type of engine it is. I think it's the stock 210 HP V6 although I wouldnt know what one looks like either. Anyone know where I can see a pic?


I havent looked at the speedo and it does have the bullets.

I'm just baffled by this car. Maybe it's just some sort of dealership special.
