Comparing luctury SUVs and lost

I am trying to help my cousin with the new SUV purchase. She is driving a 2002
BMW X5 but it started giving her problems and she decided to get rid of it because it’s the only vehicle she got. I was trying to show her RX330 or MDX but after driving X5 she is spoiled with height and says they are too low. I, after they stopped making 82 Chevy Caprice and 97 Volvo 850, became Toyota/Honda guy, so I may me not impartial person on this
Her criteria for a new vehicle is: Height, Reliability, Safety and Heavy feel (I guess like an X5) and price under 40k.
Your recommendations.

I’ll also have to deal later with selling her old X5 that she still owes money on (I think `26k), it has 95k on it and in decent shape. I know if we try to traded in she WILL loose money, but not sure how easy it’s going to be to sell the BMW.

Thanks,

She might want to test out the Infiniti FX35/45 or Cadillac SRX. They're more sporty than the FWD Sedan based RX and MDX

Wow. She owes that much still. Show her some videos of SUV's rolling over, then maybe she will buy a 'sportier' one such as the Infiniti. At least it can control itself.
