Realistic Rendering.

Hey guys, i really need your help please. I have seen lots of realistic renders here so i thought this would be the best place to ask for help. Ive always been interested in realistic rendering, and i want to be able to render my own car designs realistically (by hand). I'm thinking graphite pencils to start off with. I really need your help on this, if you know anything about realistic graphite rendering please make a comment
cheers,

Dave.

I like to start with the wheels, just to get them out of the way..
For the shading I use my 2B lightly & spread the lead around with a paper tortillon or the other similar tool ( forgot the name..). Repeat this step until
the shade is dark enough & gradual...

Good luck.
