Coolant elbow

Is the coolant elbow a dealer item only, Also the orange O-rings for the heater hose fittings?

Try NAPA, AZ or Advanced. They have the aftermarket version of the plastic elbow made by either Dorman or Motormite. Less than $10. I prefer the one made by GM/AC Delco.

Re: Coolant elbow

I got an elbow at the dealer. He gave me a discount and it was still $6.28. That's the good news. Guess what the O-rings are for the heater hose connectors? Over $11 a piece, and $8 with the discount. Holy crap. Someone needs to kiss me cause I always get kissed when I get screwed.

I'm assuming that it would have to be a high temp O-ring since the water temps get up over 200. Not sure a regular black O-ring would stand up under those temps, but then I really don't know, just don't want to take that chance.
