Cabin Fan Works Off and On

1993 C/k 1500, the cabin fan blower works off and on. When I push in the button I can hear the relay click on, nothing. Then all of a sudden at times the fan works fine. A/C does the same thing, fuses are all fine none blown. I am at a loss here, HELPPP!

I would check the connections on the motor and the resistor. Does the fan work on one speed better than another? If that is the case the resistor is most likely the cause.

after you check the fan connections , this may be a splice in the wiring feeding the a/c componets..this can be difficult to find ...moving the wire harness when the unit is in fail mode can narrow it down..

When the Fan works it works at all speed fine. Then for no reason next time I am in the Truck, no fan works.

replace the fan motor...remove inspect for condition/wires connections to it if it is old and looks like crap get new one ...about 35-50.OO
