Can i cut Cat off 4 better gas mileage ???

It has an 02 sensor right after the cat, so does anybody know, will i still be able to cut it off and have everything workout fine? IE, the comp not getting a bad reading from the one after the cat and making things worse

Advice from anyone who has cut it off with a sensor before and aftet would be great.

The only reason is that im getting 7 mpg less than normal right now and i cant let it get much worse

Its a 95 Ranger, 2.3L, 260k miles, 2wd, ext. cab 5spd

technically your mpg would improve ever so slightly but not enough to ever offset the cost of a ticket if they catch you without your cat

I highly doubt I will get caught by the cops. I live in Ohio.
