Shelby Mustang GT 350 Grill
I am trying to paint the grill on my GT 350. SEE it here http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEK12
I tried using a tooth pick to paint the black parts but it did not work, i was able to wash the paint off and now i am stuck for painting it. Does anybody think all black would look good, mine is silver with white stripes. Or should i leave it chrome or is there any painting techniques i could apply here? Thanks guys |

Re: GT 350 Grill
Did you try using a wash on the grille?
Most often, with these Revell muscle car kits, I found the grille can be finished sufficiently well using a paint wash.

Re: GT 350 Grill
With those Mustang grilles its easy to paint the grille with flat black then use a piece of paper towel or toilet paper and wipe over the raised grille bars, or if you're like me use your crappy tshirt which is covered in paint anyway.
That technique has worked for both the GT350s I've made. |
