Lightbulb weak

Hi guys,

sorry, I am very new to automobile DIY, hope you can help me nonetheless.

I noticed recently that the bulb of my headlight (Hyundai Excel) wasn't working correctly, so I went and replaced it. I actually replaced it with a slightly stronger bulb (75W instead of 60W). However, now that it is installed it is extremely weak. The old 60W bulb on the other side of the car is still much stronger. The new bulb almost appears to be as weak as a standlight. It definitely provides light, so I would say it is connected correctly, but it is a very dim light.

Any idea what might be wrong? Could it be wrong wiring? It always worked fine before, so not sure what would have stuffed the light up now.

Thanks for the help.
